24/27 Apr 08 Otama

Otama Beach, Coromandel

Anzac weekend saw us head off to Otama. We left late Thursday (24th) afternoon and travelled up the coast road to Coromandel and then over to the East Coast to Otama. So where exactly is Otama I hear you ask.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of pics as Friday, Anzac Day, was the only good day.

The years will not condemn them nor age weary them for they will not grow old as we grow old. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

I'm sorry if the words arn't exactly correct but we will remember. Otama beach shelves off quite well and provided us with some great fishing. We caught a couple of good snapper and three kahawai that made for a delicious meal.

The beach itself is one of those squeaky white sand beaches that was great to wander its length looking for shells and items of interest.

Next time we visit hopefully the weather will be better and we can get some better pics. Needless to say it was a great weekend as any motorhome weekend away can be.
